Therapeutic Counselling & Coaching
Support looks different depending on what you’re navigating, your capacity, and where you are in your healing journey. This page outlines two distinct services I offer: Therapeutic Counselling and Trauma-Informed Wellness Coaching. While they share a trauma-informed foundation, they differ in depth, scope, and purpose.
You do not need to know which one is right for you before reaching out. We can determine the best fit together.
Counselling
Therapeutic counselling is a space to slow down and be met without needing to explain or perform. It’s for the parts of you that have learned to stay alert, carry on, or hold everything together even when it’s exhausting. In our work together, we focus on creating enough safety to gently explore what’s been shaping your responses, emotions, and patterns. Not to dig for answers or push for insight, but to understand how your nervous system learned to cope and what it needs now to feel steadier. We move at a pace your body can tolerate, paying attention to regulation, grounding, and choice every step of the way.
This work can support experiences such as chronic stress, burnout, trauma, grief, identity shifts, relationship strain, or feeling disconnected from yourself. You don’t need a clear story or a diagnosis. You just need a willingness to show up as you are. As a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor (Candidate), I hold this work within ethical and clinical boundaries while keeping it human, relational, and deeply respectful of your lived experience. There is no fixing here. Just support, curiosity, and space to come back into yourself.

Coaching
Trauma-informed wellness coaching is a non-clinical, present-focused form of support. It is practical, skills-based, and oriented toward building awareness, capacity, and sustainable self-support without engaging in therapeutic processing or diagnosis. Coaching may focus on nervous system regulation, boundary setting, stress management, routine building, decision-making, or navigating life transitions. It is especially suited for individuals seeking structured guidance, accountability, and education without entering therapy, or for those already working with a therapist and looking for additional support with day-to-day integration.
Coaching honours trauma-informed principles of safety, choice, collaboration, and empowerment while remaining clearly distinct from counselling.
For professionals, helpers, and practitioners seeking education rather than individual coaching, Mind Your Heart Academy offers trauma-informed learning, psychoeducation, and professional circles designed to support ethical application in personal and professional contexts. This pathway is ideal for those wanting to deepen understanding without engaging in clinical services.
My approach
You’re not expected to arrive calm, clear, or knowing exactly what you need. You can come tired, guarded, unsure, or overwhelmed. My role is to offer a steady, respectful relationship where your system can soften enough to be met as you are, at a pace that feels manageable.
I work through a trauma-informed, nervous system-aware, and relational lens. This means your responses are understood as learned adaptations, not flaws, and our relationship itself becomes part of the support. Together, we notice patterns, build regulation, and explore new ways of responding with care and curiosity, without pressure to push or perform.
Sessions are collaborative and consent-based. We may use conversation, gentle education, reflection, and practical tools you can carry into daily life. The aim isn’t to fix or rush change, but to support you in feeling more grounded, more resourced, and more connected to yourself and others over time.
If you’re unsure whether counselling or coaching is the best fit, that’s okay. A discovery call can help clarify your needs, answer questions, and determine the most appropriate next step. Support does not need to be rushed or forced. The goal is care that fits you.
